CLASS OBSERVATION
You are welcome to come and
observe a class at any time. Just call ahead to ensure the class is scheduled. You can also schedule a "tryout" (if there is space available) for a $15 fee which can be
applied to tuition for current classes. Please be sure to call first.
DIRECTIONS
Heading west on #10 Santa Monica Freeway, exit Cloverfield, turn right,
remain on Cloverfield to Santa Monica Boulevard, turn left to one block past 20th Street, to the corner of 19th Street (right side). PARKING
There is limited parking
in our parking lot, but space is available on Santa Monica Boulevard, and on 19th Street north of Santa Monica Boulevard. Please be sure to observe parking regulations and restrictions. |

STRING ENSEMBLE
Fridays - 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
_______________________________________________ A six-week course introducing
CHAMBER MUSIC PERFORMANCE. The ensemble will consist of four or more members (violins, violas, cellos). The music will include compositions by Bach, Handel, Mozart, Hayden, Beethoven and
others.Curriculum: Topics to be covered include:
- Small group music performance techniques
- Phrasing
- Intonation
- Reading music
- Chamber music awareness and interpretation from different music eras.
Andre Dudek is a world-class cellist and composer. He has performed with many orchestras all over the world, including extensive studio work with the BBC in London,
Leonard Bernstein's Young Musicians Foundation in New York, and the Royal Ballet Orchestra
in London, where he was principal cellist at the age of 21. Andre has also been involved with contemporary music, performing with The Electric Light Orchestra.
